MONT BLANC QUARTZITE

Mont Blanc Quartzite impresses with its elegance and authenticity combined with the lightness of the shapes. Today Mont Blanc is found in the heart of the state of Bahia, in the Chapada Diamantina region,
however, its history of formation begins in a very different environment. Approximately 1.7 billion years ago a semi arid climate predominated, with landscapes full of dunes, lakes, and rivers that went towards the coast. The action of the winds and waters shaped the dunes and carried the sand into the lakes that were gradually buried, changing their shape and location over time. The rivers also carried these sediments, composed mainly of milky colored quartz grains, which were deposite d all along their route towards the sea.

These movements have shaped the organization of the grains of sand into fluid forms, which even after the metamorphism have been preserved and will be forever recorded in the designs of unparalleled beauty of Mont Blanc.
